The power of statistics behind successful business decisions
Launch of the HCSO STAT Academy Business lecture series
The ability to interpret data correctly is essential for informed, data-driven decision-making and scientific research. To support this, on 4 November 2024 the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO) will launch the HCSO STAT Academy Business lecture series, which will help economic and business actors to increase the competitiveness of their businesses through statistical literacy and provide useful knowledge for students, teachers and researchers at higher education institutions.
The HCSO STAT Academy Business series, which will take place at the main building of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office from 4 to 21 November 2024, aims to show in an easily accessible way to business leaders and economic decision-makers how to use statistical data to manage businesses effectively, identify future challenges and turn statistical competence into business advantage. Statistical data can help to better understand the customer base, forecast market trends and optimise costs. The knowledge gained from the presentations will enable participants from the competitive sector to build data-driven decision-making processes through official statistics, minimising risks.
In addition, the presentations will help to interpret and produce data-based research and analysis, and to gain a deeper understanding of social and economic processes. HCSO experts will guide participants through the world of statistical data and analysis in a clear, practical, direct and interactive way, helping them to gain a competitive edge in their everyday decision-making, research and analysis. The HCSO STAT Academy Business lecture series is the foundation for successful business strategies and a practical complement to higher education courses in economics and social sciences.
