2. Tasks of the Quality of Life Statistics Department according to the statistical data production process:
2.1. professional planning and preparation of data surveys on employment, unemployment and work, labour market participation (including direct surveys carried out by the HCSO and other surveys from other organisations), performing related data collections and preparations (editing, validation, encoding), processing, quality control, correction of gathered data, their ordering into databases, domestic and international dissemination, data transmissions and ensuring access to data;
2.2. professional planning and preparation of data surveys on earnings, labour costs, filled and vacant job positions, strike related surveys (including direct surveys carried out by the HCSO and other surveys from other organisations), performing related data collections and preparations (editing, validation, encoding), processing, quality control, correction of gathered data, their ordering into databases, domestic and international dissemination, data transmissions and ensuring access to data;
2.3. professional planning and preparation of data surveys on lifestyle, living conditions, individual and social well-being, household budget, consumption, income, financial situation (including direct surveys carried out by the HCSO and other surveys from other organisations), performing related data collections and preparations (editing, validation, encoding), processing, quality control, correction of gathered data, their ordering into databases, domestic and international dissemination, data transmissions and ensuring access to data;
2.4. documenting and developing the methodology of the specialised areas within the remit of the department;
2.5. producing data compilations, first releases and analyses from the subject matter statistics within the remit of the department;
2.6. contributing to the development of HCSO publications relating to multiple statistical areas;
2.7. managing the classification systems of the domain;
2.8. validating data at sector level;
2.9.  Publishing official statements on professional fields related concepts (especially those related to legal references);
2.10.  maintaining domestic and international relations within the professional fields of the department.
