New Head appointed at the Hungarian Demographic Research Institute

From 27 October 2023, Dr. habil. Károly Bozsonyi has been appointed by Dr. Áron Kincses, President of the HCSO, to take over the duties of Director of the Hungarian Demographic Research Institute and to develop the Institute's quantitative analyses and research. Dr habil. Károly Bozsonyi earned a degree in Philosophy and Sociology at the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), and a degree in Physics at the Faculty of Science of ELTE in Budapest. He obtained his PhD degree in 2002 in the field of Sociology at the ELTE Doctoral School on "Mathematical Theory of Collective Behaviour". He has published 88 papers in the field of mathematical sociology and has 20 Scopus-indexed publications.
