Gabriella Vukovich was elected Vice President of the International Statistical Institute.
In the course of its officials’ election process in 2018, ISI (International Statistical Institute, the global professional organisation of statisticians) elected Gabriella Vukovich, President of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office as Vice President for the period of 2019–2023. Byeong U. Park, Professor of Statistics in the Seoul National University was elected the other Vice President and Stephen Penneck, current Vice President and Chair of the Advisory Board on Ethics was elected the President of the Institute.
Helen MacGillivray, Professor of the Queensland University of Technology and current President of ISI emphasized that the election of Gabriella Vukovich is the recognition of her outstanding role in the international world of statistics and her work in the development of statistics and in the interest of ISI.
