Scientific award to Dr Géza Tóth

Dr Géza Tóth, statistical adviser at the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO), editor-in-chief of the Területi Statisztika and the English-language Regional Statistics, periodicals edited and published by HCSO, and professor at the University of Miskolc was awarded a high scientific recognition again.

The scientific council of the university handed over its certificate of appreciation to Dr Géza Tóth ceremoniously on 6 February 2025 for his research work, significant even at an international level, and for his publishing activity, also documented in the Scopus scientific database, with which he contributed in an outstanding way to the domestic and international scientific visibility of the University of Miskolc, as well as to the institution’s distinguished position in world university rankings.
