Dr. Mariann Vízkelety dies

Dr. Mariann Vízkelety, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office’s (HCSO’s) Deputy President responsible for legal affairs and financial management between 2012 and 2015, died after a long and serious illness, in the 68th year of her life, on 7 January 2024.

As HCSO’s Deputy President, Mariann Vízkelety earned endurable merits in preparing and elaborating Act CLV of 2016 on Official Statistics, which helped the Office operate in line with the standards laid down in the European Statistics Code of Practice.
