Professional debate at HCSO

The Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO) organised a professional discussion entitled "Statistics - Demography" on 5 November 2024. At the event, Dr. Pál Péter Tóth, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, demographer, researcher at the Population Research Institute of HCSO and Dr. Áron Kincses, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, President of HCSO had a conversation about the current demographic trends and challenges.

The Hungarian Central Statistical Office hosted a professional discussion on 5 November 2024. At the "Statistics - Demography" event, Dr. Pál Péter Tóth demographer, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, researcher at the Population Research Institute of HCSO and Dr. Áron Kincses, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, President of HCSO debated the challenges of the Hungarian demographic situation and the role of statistical methods and data in understanding and forecasting social changes.

The aim of the event was to develop an in-depth professional dialogue between experts working with statistical and demographic data on the current issues of population decline, migration and emigration, highlighting the challenges and importance of data interpretation during research and policy decision-making.

The patron of the event was Dr. Áron Kincses, President of HCSO.
