The National Data Asset Management Agency has a new managing director

From 2 December 2024, Vince Kruchina has been acting as managing director of the National Data Asset Management Agency (NAVÜ).

Vince Kruchina is a sociologist, a qualified economist, an energy economist and a PhD candidate. His scientific publications have appeared in national and international journals. He started his professional career as a research associate at the National Radio and Television Board, and in 2010 he joined the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO) as a head of section. In 2012, he was part of the government commissioner team responsible for the development of the Electronic Toll Payment System. In 2014, he was appointed managing director of the STATEK Centre for Statistical Analysis Ltd. In 2017, he became deputy CEO of the National Toll Payment Services Plc. In 2022, he was entrusted with the duties of president and CEO of Volánbus, and from the end of 2023 until September 2024, he served as deputy CEO of MÁV-Start.

The ownership rights of the National Data Asset Management Agency were transferred to the HCSO with effect from 1 February 2024. NAVÜ is responsible for the state tasks related to the implementation of the national data asset management, the operation of the National Public Data Portal and the creation and maintenance of the national public data register and the national data asset inventory.
