Labour Force Survey

The Labour Survey is the largest continuous data collection of the Central Statistical Office, and aims at providing comparative data about the country’s labour market situation and employment and unemployment rates. Each quarter we ask approximately 36 thousand households to answer our questions. The households are selected via random sampling from various communities across the country.

Participation is voluntary; in accordance with Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-determination and Freedom of Information, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office will handle the information received confidentially, and will not disclose them to other bodies or persons. The results will be published without names and individual data in aggregated statistical tables (STADAT).
