Tasks of the chairperson
- to give a short introduction to the session (about 3–5 minutes)
- to recommend time limits for each intervention based on the number of expected interventions and the time available for the item
- to continuously keep a check of the number of outstanding interventions
- to keep a running list of delegates who wish to intervene
- to make a short summary of the discussion at the end of the session
- to make recommendations for possible follow-up work
Tasks of the discussant
- to introduce the topic
- to introduce the authors of invited papers
- to briefly introduce the papers
- to draw out key points (preferably by looking at the topic in general, not paper by paper)
- to raise questions to the authors for general discussion (general discussion should last usually 40–50 minutes)
Tasks of the authors
- to prepare a paper about the proposed topic
- to answer the questions of the discussants after his/her presentation (about 7 minutes)

In preparing your manuscript please follow the style guide.
For example your paper’s title; the designation of the author’s name (last name in capitals); the indication of the author’s title, affiliation and country (in italics) should follow the style shown below.
Also, prepare a short abstract of the paper and place it as it is in this guide.
