Based on the latest data of the EU’s Weekly Oil Bulletin, the average price of 95-octane petrol was 603 forints in Hungary, which was 1 forint higher than the regional average. In neighbouring countries, the average price was 613 forints, the price in Hungary being 1.6% or 10 forints lower. The weekly average price of diesel motor fuel was 600 forints in Hungary, which was 10 forints or 1.7% higher than the regional average price of 590 forints. In neighbouring countries, the average price of diesel was 601 forints, and the figure for Hungary was 0.2% or 1 forint lower than this.
The average price of 95 petrol in Hungary decreased by 6 forints compared to the figure for the previous week. In parallel, the regional average lessened, too, by 7 forints. In neighbouring countries, the average price of petrol went down by 8 forints.
The average price of diesel oil in Hungary was lowered by 7 forints over a week. The regional average price and the average price observed for neighbouring countries were reduced to the same extent.
Compared to Hungary, the average price of petrol was higher in Austria, Czechia, Croatia, Serbia and Slovakia out of the countries in the region according to the latest data. The price of petrol went down the most in Serbia, by 13 forints.
The average price of 95-octane petrol was less than 5% lower in Poland and Slovenia than the average price in Hungary. In Bulgaria, the average price of petrol continued to be more than 10% lower.
In the case of diesel oil, the weekly average prices in Austria, Croatia, Poland and Serbia were higher than the value in Hungary, however, the average price was over 10% lower in Bulgaria compared to the average price of diesel motor fuel in Hungary. The average price of diesel was reduced in all countries in the region compared to the previous week. The largest reduction of 10 forints was recorded for Slovenia.
