Many people are curious about the statistical palace – HCSO hosts a record number of 260 visitors at the Cultural Heritage Days, 24/09/2024

The Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO) has joined the Cultural Heritage Days programme series again this year. As part of the national event held on 21-22 September 2024, the Office opened the doors of its historical 125-year-old main building designed by Győző Czigler, and guests had the opportunity to take guided tours of the listed building, see the impressive interiors and corridors preserved in their original state, while hearing many interesting facts about the history and operation of the institution.

The interest was huge even during the pre-registration period, so the organisers launched more visitor tours than originally planned. A total of 260 guests visited the statistical palace over the two weekend days, which is a huge increase on previous years.
