Dr Géza Tóth, statistical adviser of the HCSO has been awarded a high standing scientific recognition, 09/09/2024

Dr Géza Tóth, statistical adviser at the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO), editor-in-chief of the Területi Statisztika and the English language Regional Statistics periodicals, professor at Miskolc University has been awarded in the economic sciences category the “Distinguished scientific author of the University of Miskolc, 2023” title for his outstanding publishing activity – documented by the Hungarian Science Bibliography and the Scopus scientific data banks – as well as for his research activity conducted for a better national and international visibility of the University of Miskolc. The award was handed over at the University’s Senate awarding ceremony on 6 September 2024.

Overall 886 people contributed to the 2023 publishing achievement of the University of Miskolc. Based on the national scientific visibility value, calculated with the method accepted by the scientific council of the University, the work of Dr Géza Tóth ranked 2nd on the list of 886. The award is granted to those who, in a given year, contributed the most to the increase of the national and international reputation and prestige of the University.
