To follow up annual volume changes observed in the production account of the economic accounts for agriculture (EAA) a volume index measuring product output at constant (previous-year) prices is used.
Each of the axes of the octagonal radar chart represents a main product group. The volume indices cover the period between 2000 and 2012. Volumes increase towards lighter colours and decrease towards darker colours (the inner part of the chart). The dark dotted line equals the volume in the previous year.
The chart reveals that the annual change in the volume of crop output fluctuates strongly, compared with higher stability of animal husbandry, less exposed to weather conditions.
