Average gross earnings at HUF 695,100 in November 2025, 11.9% higher than a year earlier
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 695,100 and average net earnings with tax benefits reached HUF 478,000 in November 2024. Average gross earnings grew by 11.9%, net earnings increased by 11.8% and real earnings were 7.9% higher than a year earlier. Median gross earnings were HUF 550,800, median net earnings were HUF 383,400, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 12.5% and 13.3%, respectively.
November 2024:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 695,100, which was 11.9% higher than a year earlier.
Regular average gross earnings (without premiums and one-month bonuses) were estimated at HUF 613,700, being 11.9% higher than in the same period of the previous year. Regular average gross earnings amounted to HUF 609,500 in the business sector, HUF 613,000 in the budgetary sector and HUF 657,100 in the non-profit sector, rising by 11.3%, 13.7% and 11.9%, respectively, over a year.
Average net earnings reached HUF 462,200, excluding tax benefits and HUF 478,000, including them, being 11.9% and 11.8% higher than in November 2023.
Real earnings were up by 7.9%, along with a 3.7% increase in consumer prices compared to the same period of the previous year.
Median gross earnings were HUF 550,800, being 12.5% above the level a year earlier.
Median net earnings including tax benefits reached HUF 383,400, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 13.3%.
January-November 2024:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings amounted to HUF 639,500.
Average net earnings were HUF 425,200, excluding tax benefits and HUF 440,200, including tax benefits.
Average gross earnings and average net earnings excluding tax benefits increased by 13.5% and net earnings including tax benefits rose by 13.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.
