Average gross earnings amount to HUF 637,200 in October 2024, 12.9% higher than a year earlier
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 637,200 and average net earnings with tax benefits reached HUF 438,900 in October 2024. Average gross earnings grew by 12.9%, net earnings increased by 12.7% and real earnings were 9.4% higher than a year earlier. Median gross earnings were HUF 529,000, median net earnings were HUF 366,000, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 15.9% and 15.0%, respectively.
October 2024:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 637,200, which was 12.9% higher than a year earlier.
Regular average gross earnings (without premiums and one-month bonuses) were estimated at HUF 613,100, being 13.5% higher than in the same period of the previous year. Regular average gross earnings amounted to HUF 615,100 in the business sector, HUF 597,000 in the budgetary sector and HUF 638,100 in the non-profit sector, rising by 12.9%, 15.4% and 14.7%, respectively, over a year.
Average net earnings reached HUF 423,800, excluding tax benefits and HUF 438,900, including them, being 12.9% and 12.7% higher than in October 2023.
Real earnings were up by 9.4%, along with a 3.2% increase in consumer prices compared to the same period of the previous year.
Median gross earnings were HUF 529,000, being 15.9% above the level a year earlier.
Median net earnings including tax benefits reached HUF 366,000, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 15.0%.
January-October 2024:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings amounted to HUF 633,900.
Average net earnings were HUF 421,500, excluding tax benefits and HUF 436,400, including tax benefits.
Average gross earnings and average net earnings excluding tax benefits increased by 13.6% and net earnings including tax benefits rose by 13.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
