Average gross earnings amount to HUF 642,000 in June 2024, 13.3% higher than a year earlier
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 642,000 and average net earnings with tax benefits reached HUF 442,000 in June 2024. Average gross earnings grew by 13.3%, net earnings increased by 13.1% and real earnings were 9.3% higher than a year earlier. Median gross earnings were HUF 518,800, median net earnings were HUF 359,200, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 15.3% and 15.1%, respectively.
June 2024:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 642,000, which was 13.3% higher than a year earlier.
Regular average gross earnings (without premiums and one-month bonuses) were estimated at HUF 598,200, being 13.9% higher than in the same period of the previous year. Regular average gross earnings amounted to HUF 595,000 in the business sector, HUF 597,800 in the budgetary sector and HUF 631,300 in the non-profit sector, rising by 12.0%, 18.8% and 18.7%, respectively, over a year.
Average net earnings reached HUF 427,000, excluding tax benefits and HUF 442,000, including them, being 13.3% and 13.1% higher than in June 2023.
Real earnings were up by 9.3%, along with a 3.7% increase in consumer prices compared to the same period of the previous year.
Median gross earnings were HUF 518,800, being 15.3% above the level a year earlier.
Median net earnings including tax benefits reached HUF 359,200, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 15.1%.
January-June 2024:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings amounted to HUF 634,800.
Average net earnings were HUF 422,100, excluding tax benefits and HUF 436,900, including tax benefits.
Average gross earnings and average net earnings excluding tax benefits increased by 14.0% and net earnings including tax benefits rose by 13.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.
