Average gross earnings amount to HUF 605,400 in February 2024, 14.0% higher than a year earlier
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 605,400 and average net earnings with tax benefits reached HUF 417,100 in February 2024. Average gross earnings grew by 14.0%, net earnings increased by 13.8% and real earnings were 9.9% higher than a year earlier. Median gross earnings were HUF 491,900, median net earnings were HUF 340,700, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 16.2% and 15.3%, respectively.
February 2024:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 605,400, which was 14.0% higher than a year earlier.
Regular average gross earnings (without premiums and one-month bonuses) were estimated at HUF 578,000, being 14.4% higher than in the same period of the previous year. Regular average gross earnings amounted to HUF 577,000 in the business sector, HUF 572,900 in the budgetary sector and HUF 602,600 in the non-profit sector, rising by 13.2%, 17.7% and 16.8%, respectively, over a year.
Average net earnings reached HUF 402,600, excluding tax benefits and HUF 417,100, including them, being 14.0% and 13.8% higher than in February 2023.
Real earnings were up by 9.9%, along with a 3.7% increase in consumer prices compared to the same period of the previous year.
Median gross earnings were HUF 491,900, being 16.2% above the level a year earlier.
Median net earnings including tax benefits reached HUF 340,700, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 15.3%.
January-February 2024:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings amounted to HUF 605,200.
Average net earnings were HUF 402,500, excluding tax benefits and HUF 416,800, including tax benefits.
Average gross earnings and average net earnings excluding tax benefits increased by 14.3% and net earnings including tax benefits rose by 14.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.
