Industrial production lessened by 5.3%
The volume of industrial production lagged behind the one year earlier level in December 2024 by 5.3%, production based on working-day adjusted data by 6.4%. According to seasonally and working-day adjusted data, industrial output was 1.8% lower than in November 2024.
In 2024 the volume of industrial production was 4.0% below the 2023 level.
Out of the manufacturing subsections having the largest weight, output in the manufacture of transport equipment, as well as that of electrical equipment decreased, at the same time the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products, as well as that of food products, beverages and tobacco products grew.
Industrial output– according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was below the level of the previous month by 1.8%.
