Industrial production decreased by 0.2%
The volume of industrial production, based on working-day adjusted data, lagged behind in October 2024 by 0.2%, production by 3.1%, year-on-year. According to seasonally and working-day adjusted data, industrial output surpassed by 2.0% the September 2024 level.
Production volume grew in October 2024 in the majority of the manufacturing subsections. At the same time, out of the subsections having the largest weight, a setback was observed in the manufacture of transport equipment and in the manufacture of electrical equipment, while the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products, as well as the manufacture of food products, beverages and tobacco products increased.
In the first ten months of the year industrial production was 3.9% lower than in the same period of 2023.
Industrial output – according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was above the level of the previous month by 2.0%.
