Industrial production decreased by 7.2%
The volume of industrial production dropped in September 2024 by 7.2% based on working-day adjusted data, production declined by 5.4%, year-on-year. According to seasonally and working-day adjusted data, industrial output was 0.7% lower than in August 2024.
Production volume decreased in September 2024 in the great majority of the manufacturing subsections. Out of the subsections having the largest weight a fall was observed in the manufacture of transport equipment, in the manufacture of electrical equipment, as well as in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products, while the manufacture of food products, beverages and tobacco products increased.
In the first nine months of the year industrial production was 4.3% lower than in the same period of 2023.
Industrial output– according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was below the level of the previous month by 0.7%.
