Industrial production decreased by 1.3%
The volume of industrial production declined in July 2024 by 1.3% year-on-year, based on working-day adjusted data, production dropped by 6.4%. Compared to crude data, the significant difference is due to the fact that there were two more working-days in this month than in July 2023. According to seasonally and working-day adjusted data, industrial output did not change compared to June 2024.
Out of the four subsections having the largest weight production volume lessened in the manufacture of transport equipment, the manufacture of electrical equipment, as well as the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products, at the same time it grew in the manufacture of food products, beverages and tobacco products.
In the first seven months of the year production was 3.0% lower than in the same period of 2023.
Industrial output– according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices –remained at the level of the previous month.
