Construction output volume increased by 15.6% year-on-year, and went up by 11.0% compared to the previous month
Construction output volume, based on raw data, was over the previous year’s level by 15.6% in April 2024. Out of the main groups of construction the construction of buildings increased by 10.8%, that of civil engineering grew by 22.6%. Based on seasonally and working day adjusted indices construction output was 11.0% higher than in March.
In April 2024 compared to the same month of the previous year:
Output of both main groups of construction grew: the construction of buildings rose by 10.8%, that of civil engineering grew by 22.6%.
Among the divisions of construction, production volume increased by 26.7% in the construction of buildings, and by 4.7% in civil engineering. Production in specialised construction activities having the largest weight in construction, expanded by 14.3%.
The volume of new contracts concluded grew by 23.0%. Within it the volume of contracts for the construction of buildings increased by 16.5%, that for civil engineering by 30.9%, year-on-year.
The volume of the end-of-April stock of contracts at construction enterprises lessened by 0.5% compared to the same period of the previous year, within this the volume of contracts was up by 1.1% for the construction of buildings and decreased by 2.0% for civil engineering works.
In the first four months of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year:
Production volume in construction grew by 5.7%.
