Data Revision

Concerning the "Leisure and Other Spending by International Visitors in Hungary" survey 2006 Q1 HCSO data bases were revised to meet methodological changes and new, available, data sources.

Imputation procedures were applied – over international visitor spending, transport costs and travel agent fees – in revising data.

Regarding the "Resident travel abroad" survey post-2004 data was adjusted to internal consumption.

Data correction: data may differ – due to retrospectively correcting sample data – from the ones published earlier.

Methodological Change

International same-day visitors using same border crossing points were regarded as excursionists in Q1 2007 and earlier data services.

Same-day international visitors with leisure purposes (see Figure) were regarded as excursionist in Q2 2007 quarterly report.

International travellers arriving from their source countries and heading to their foreign destinations were regarded as transit travellers.
