MOM Kulturális Központ
Built in 1951 in Bauhaus style MOM was originally dedicated to the entertainment of the workers of the Hungarian Optical Works and of the neighbours of the area. Therefore the acronym: MOM – Magyar Optikai Művek which means Hungarian Optical Works.
MOM is an important cultural centre with a rich offer on artistic performances from dance over music to films and lectures.
It is located in the green side of the capital, in “Gesztenyés kert” (Garden of Chesnut trees) at the feet of Buda Hills, a cultural and recreational area. Simply a perfect place for taking a pleasant stroll after an intense day.
