Description | In our fast-paced world the short time frame allowed for making decisions and doing descriptive analyses requires continuous improvement of analysis methods and techniques and also access to databases. The administrative databases for reliable findings with relatively low error rates – though dispersed – are widely available. The session examines the opportunities and limitations of administrative data sources from the perspective of users with different purposes and their needs. The session also deals with censuses and other macro statistical online data for analysing the structure of population and society. The use of statistical data in the policy making process and the way big data revolution influences the use of administrative data sources are also discussed. |
